Sustainability At American Foods

Global warming is one of the biggest challenges facing our planet today.

American Foods recognizes the economic, environmental and social responsibilities of its operations and is committed to doing all it can to protect this beautiful blue planet.

Considering this context, what are American Foods doing?

- Customer satisfaction is our top priority in production.

- Our goal is to reduce the amount of water used in the production process, and we recycle and reuse the wastewater generated (WC, garden irrigation etc.)

- Corrugated cardboard and cardboard boxes that we use are collected and sent to paper mills for re-use. In one year, we saved approximately 17 million trees by recycling 1 million tons of cardboard. As a result of recycling 1 million tons of cardboard, we prevented the emission of 177 million kilograms of carbon dioxide. The energy we saved was approximately 4 billion kWh.

- In the future, we will be able to use green energy as an energy source to fulfill our goals. All production processes will be powered by solar panels by 2030.

- In our factories and offices, we operate on the principle of zero waste. In our offices, paper, plastic, metal packaging, and organic waste are collected separately and recycled.
